My Future Posts Will Be 99% Profanity Free, 7% More Interesting

Full Transparency: I say 99% because I'm not perfect, 7% due to increased vocabulary requirements.

Writing for me is a hobby that keeps me sane when I'm on the road and stuck in hotels for nights on end, weeks on end. There' enough experience around strange people from various small towns in the middle of nowhere that I could probably be a stand-up comic, if I had the desire, or stage presence.

Since I started writing here on Oppo, a few of my articles have gained some genuine interest - specifically the ones regarding my various experiences with convertibles that are older than Kate Upton and cost less than a weekend in Vegas. A few people even follow my blog for some reason I have yet to discern (maybe they think I'm funny?). I've been fortunate enough to be featured on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! a few times.

Surprisingly, it turns out that there more people reading in the background (maybe even a dozen!), one of whom spoke with me today and said something I took to very seriously, because they made a inarguable point. They thought I was good enough of a writer and a person to not need to drop curses in for various purposes, usually intended humor. I don't know about the writing quality, but the expression quality needs to change. It'll still be a little risque at times, but more like Pearls Before Swine and less like Andrew Dice Clay.

At some point I'd like to be able to use whatever skill of authorship writing for a car blog gets you as a conversation piece / resume item. I would rather be known as the guy who writes for Oppositelock and had something headline Jalopnik once (haven't yet, but I'm trying), and not as "the guy with the @#$%ing RX-7".This would require some form of professionalism that I haven't provided to myself, which I regret. Hereforward, my articles, posts and comments will be approximately PG-13. I've also edited my back catalog as much as possible. It's not perfect, but it's much cleaner.
